a real winter, that’s the least one can say

this month has been hard to live. everydays on slopes it has been tiring. we got loads of snow (around 3meters still now at some places) and we got a lot of wind and very (very) cold temperatures … around -30°C [-20 F] many days. a man evend died, that was a bit crazy. cold is nice but it’s strange when it gets dangerous. i’ve loved that weather though. winter has to be hostile in my opinion.
anyway, today was my last day. i’m in “holidays” now. in two days i’m catching a train to paris to see a popbitch and the next morning we rail to brussels for few days. some beer and rest scheduled. then back to paris with two un-missable gigs: wilco and the arcade fire.

i can’t wait !

during their set yesterday i bought the arcade fire - demos 2001/2003 that seems only available at their gigs.
and members of the Go Go Charlton (a very promising parisian pop band) gave me their first single/demo: 75% / berlin that is really class. i knew these two tracks already but unmastered. the sound is very good now and i can’t wait to hear more from them…

soon pictures of the arcade fire’s concert !

oasis ?

   Comments (0)

back to the mountains i found yesterday evening my dvd celebrating the ten year old album “definitely maybe” by the macunian band oasis. two dvds with videos and live from their great period.

today i’ve read they announced the tracklist of their forecoming album don’t believe the truth that should be out around the end of may. the first single “lyla” will be out mid may …

here’s the tracklist:
01 - Turn Up the Sun
02 - Mucky Fingers
03 - Lyla
04 - Love Like a Bomb
05 - The Importance of Being Idle
06 - The Meaning of Soul
07 - Guess God Thinks I’m Abel
08 - Part of the Queue
09 - Keep the Dream Alive
10 - A Bell Will Ring
11 - Let There Be Love

and most of their live dates planned this summer are already sold-out. will it be the big come-back so awaited ?
